Sound Technician: The Sound person is responsible
to make sound during worship go smoothly. We have a modern sound system with
lots of capability and it enhances the service by providing sound into the
lounge area, powering hearing assisted devices, recording the service for
those who cannot attend, and making sure everyone hears the service
well. Typical duties include arriving 15 minutes before the service
starts, plugging in a 2 or 3 microphones and turning the system on.
After the service is over the sound person packs things away, saves the
recording on the computer and locks up the sound room. This
takes about the same 15minutes after the service. Training is
provided and this is a key part of our service team at GCUC.
