OUTREACH
Calling all knitters and “Wanna
Be’s”. If you knit, or would like to learn to
knit, this is the outreach project for you! Starting April 14 we are going
to (learn to) knit warmth for the winter - mittens, socks, toques and
scarves. Some of GCUC’s finest knitters will be on hand to help those
of us with ten thumbs turn out unique and warm products for people in need
in the Montreal & Ottawa Conference. This outreach project is part of
the General Council “Knitting and Crocheting for a Warmer
World” initiative so take an
hour out of your hectic life to enjoy learning as you give and giving as
you learn. All ages, genders and
experience levels are welcome. See
the sign-up sheet in the lobby for days and times. Got questions? See Shirley Bishop or Vida Johnston.
